"The earthy decor and soft Indian music here is the perfect atmosphere in which to sit and sample. For years, Planet Veg has been rated among the top vegetarian and cheap eats by city magazines and newspapers. Flavourful vegan cuisine and good prices make it popular. The Basmati Pot combines rice with beans, peas, corn, carrots and spices. It is topped with Tamarind Chutney and Chickpea Subji (a zesty tomato, onion and chickpea sauce)."

"Cheap and healthy vegetarian wraps, curries, seasoned rice and samosas to eat in or to go" "The pita pockets, samozas, veggie burgers, rice pots, lentil soup, and roti rolls (spicy fillings in Indian flat bread) at this Indian-inspired fast-food place are cheap, healthy, filling, and fun. The room has only four tables, but the food makes great fixings for a picnic at nearby Kits Beach."
"I would move in if they let me..." Posted by Claudine, Ottawa, ON Review: "On three recent visits in as many days, I found the food superb -special mention to the roti rolls (Bombay, very filling with potatoes; Masala my favorite with eggplant; and, Katmandu, also good, with cabbage). Staff friendly, efficient; and, price more than reasonable. The menu is quite creative and should satisfy different cravings for Indian food...and and gelato." "Planet Veg Foods We’re talking delayed gratification here……. check out the Mexi-Burger. The patty, pressed like an Yves one (we miss you, Yves) and full of corn and peas, leans to oily, but the chutney and banana peppers bring this baby to life, and at $5 and change, it’s one of the cheapest of the lot."
